im covering women in film in my media coursework and looking at panic room and how jodie foster is portrayed as a strong women that the public women can realate to.
What are your opinions on Jodie foster in panic room?
She did extrodinary, my greatest actress of all time. it really looked like she was in that situation. there are many actresses who dont really convince me. Foster always delivers.
jodie foster is a woman at the top of her game, she played a great part in panic room,...a mother using all her wits & intelligence to protect her daughter, thats something any parent could relate to.
Yeah I mean, she did a good job in it. Not the best movie ever but in terms of "stong women that the public can relate to" sure, she was plenty able-- protecting her child at all cost, providing a highly secure area. Of course she was also paranoid and crazed for installing a panic room that ultimately let her down in the end.
I thought the panic room was there when she bought the flat. I remember an estate agent explaining to her that the bonus of the flat was the fact she had a panic room. It also reflects that lots of Americans are paranoid. Jodie Foster excells in this type of role. I saw Flight Plan where she looses her daughter on the plane. Without her the story would have collapsed, well, that's my opinion :-)
