This promises to be a good film, anything with Christian Bale in usually is. I've become a massive fan of his, his "method acting" is simply phenomenal! From a scrawny Trevor Reznik to a muscle-bound pumped-up Bruce Wayne in 5 months is simply mesmerising. Finest actor on the planet at the moment for me, with the exception of Sean Penn, who is equally good.

From what i understand they are absolute opposites. Jack Nicholson (who always looked more like the Penguine than the Joker!), hammed it up to the max, the loveable rogue, naughty imp, a pale immitation of what he should be! Heath Ledger has gone back to the comics & the graphic novels, the Joker is an itellegent phsycopath, without conscience or remorse, and a sick streak a mile wide....personally its been a long time comming.

i have chills just watching The Joker. I loved it, maybe Jack Nicholson has got a run for his money Very good indeed Heath Ledger. Its a shame he wontbe able to see how much of a success he will be. R.I.P
Ledger's portrayal of The Joker looks more true to the comics than Nicholson's, although I enjoyed his performance and the last Joker movie as a whole I think this one really is going to rise the bar to a whole new Batman level
I can't wait for this film, althought I do think it'll be strange seeing Heath Ledger.
He makes an awesome Joker from what I have seen so far, he really got into the role which is what you want. His Joker laugh is amazing as well, dare I say he might be better than Nicholson?
