Oh yes I agree totally....I loved the first one but this just wipes the floor with all of the others... I hope the sequels are as good and that the cast, production team and writers remain the same.
Batman Begins is a good film. Infact it has the potential to be great. The first hour was turly fantastic and well presented by the director. The establishment of Batman by Nolan and his persona was truely well crafted. The next hour and so was okay, tho not living up to the already brilliant first hour but it is mared by very sluggish and sloppily handled fight sequences - i.e. they were boring. True some of the action set pieces were stunning but teh sluggish and poorly handled fight sequences almost ruined the film.
In that respects the Original Batman and Batman Returns are Far Superior films IMHO. In them, when Batman twats some one, you can feel it. In Nolans Batman, it feels like he's punchinmg someone with soft meat.
Very good film [excellent first Hour] but detoriated by sluggish fight scenes and a predictable revelation.
Good try tho Nolan, and certainly much, much better than the shite that Schumacher did. I have high hopes for a sequel.

That'll be the Bat-ham, don't u read the comics!?!!?!
i think the 'Thwacks' and the "biffs" will get a bit harder in the sequel. The flying sequences are the most real they have ever been and the cape stiffness on demand thing explained away nicely with ancient chemicals.

Having watched this today-i was rather surprised at this flim, they never actually explained why he was in jail, more strange how did he get out?-what did his mentor do make chinese relase him?.
Katie Holmes was alright chracter almost intresting. Morgan Freeman was fantastic, great seeing him. Micheal cain was charming as Alfred. i looking forward to sequal if it's being made.

Watch the film more closely. The scenes where he is training and talking to Ducard show Bruce getting in with criminal gangs to purposely get put into jail. He thought that if he lived like a criminal, and amongst criminals, he would get an insight into how their minds work. Notably, Bruce only ever 'stole' stuff from Wayne Enterprises, so he technically never became a proper criminal, he just didn't tell people who he really was.
I also imagine it wouldn't be difficult for someone with Ra's resources and power to get Bruce out of jail.
--------------- Every dead body that is not exterminated, becomes one of them. It gets up and kills! The people it kills, get up and kill!! - Dr Foster, Dawn of the Dead.
I liked it alot, glad they've gone back to a darker theme, though I'm quite ashamed to say I enjoyed Batman forever. Christian Bale makes an excellent batman, Michael Caine is great as Alfred. I personally found Katie Holmes annoying but other than that it's fab.
