Hi does any one else think that the high school musical films are incredibly overated. I mean they are talking about doing a third . If they did it would possibly the worst trillogy of films ever, just after the Matrix Trillogy, bar the first one whitch was brilliant. It would certaintly not be able to compare with the likes of the Godfather trillogy, although not many films can.

Yes it was very over rated but you have to remember it is made for 8 year olds. The third one is suppose to be coming out in the cinema instead of the disney channel.

It depends what your looking for. I watched the first one after flicking through the telly bored and found High School Musical and liked watching it but wouldnt tell that to anyone I know.

I dont see much musicals but have seen the most popular like Oliver and Mary Poppins but seeing a modern one was nice. I guess we live in a country where singing and dancing like they do in this movie is laughed at and violence is encouraged so it was kind of refreshing to watch.

I suppose you are right about the eight year old thing, bettywink, but I know some 17 year olds who have seen it and liked it personally I think the are pants.

Don't get me wrong here, i like musicals but this 1 was just a little too cheesy for me.

it is really cheesy and proper fake, one of the characters was like mean to the two lead characters in the film and then at the end they were like all friends, what is that about?

And also why was the girl so worried about going to addition, and as an evil trick Sharpay printed some information off Gabriella of the internt to say she was clever OH NO! not a print out, how evil is she? haha, somethings need to be rethought.

...plus she was a geek, did she look like a geek, no.

Thank you xholliex the highschool musical films are a joke. I think I saw john cleese in the trailler and I thought why the hell would he do such a rubbish film. After all this is the genius who played basil fawlty one of the finest comedy creations ever, also he was in monty python for pity's sake, one of the funniest things ever.

hey i am 17... and it is unblievable cheesy, but most of my chums LUV it.

I agree, I can't understand whu my freinds like it.

Alot of people at my school have said they like it and said they also liked the 2nd film aswell. I'v not saw the 2nd yet, but the 1st wasn't as bad as what i thought it was going to be like before i watched it.

There are enough good films out there for me not to waste my time on such detritus as the high school musical films.
