I was trying to remember an American Martial Arts film. All I can remember is that the lead guy trains with the ghost of Bruce Lee and kicks a really high sandbag.
Im fairly sure it was part of the influx of Ninja movies from the 80's because I saw it when I was pretty young.
Recently watching the American Ninja series has probably dislodged this memory from it's hidy-hole.
I caught a glimpse of the first 5 minutes of the said film in the late eighties and remember being facinated by the fight scenes. Then I saw it a couple of months ago and now question why I was facinated......its a really bad film - good fighting scenes ruined by poor direction, dodgey acting and characters and ridiculous scenes. For all my nostalgia, I just couldn't see past those flaws which stuck out like an African American in a Klu-Klux Klan convention.

That pretty much sums most of the old american martial arts films. But for some reason I happen to still enjoy them!
