I may be slightly bias (im usually lurking on the Lost Forum ) JJ is a very smart man, i think this is a very interesting take on the well used monster/disaster move plot.
I cant wait...i think it looks very good
I'll be waiting.......with a gun & a pack of sandwiches.....

I'm looking forward to it, but with this nagging doubt that it's going to live up to its "redefining the genre" reputation.
Lower your expectations regarding it, trust me on this.
I wont spoil it but I thought it was terrible. I love Lost and also love monster movies but there are too many things I had a point with. One thing is that the acting is possibly the worst I've seen for a while.

Looks like I'm going on friday so I'll do a little review on here after that!
It's not so much that I'm really excited - its more the hype around it that makes me suspicious - how many hyped things live up to it? Also, the number of reviews that say the movie starts as one thing and turns into something else "that you won't beleive" makes me feel there is some twist that could well annoy me!
Its 80 minutes of people running around and screaming. Big deal! With the thickest, non sensible person behind the camera! No one would react in this way in a potentially dangerous situation. It is farcical and I both laughed and yawned. My advice is dont waste your money- have a cat nap instead as its a better use of time!
Its not a bad film, but just wish they could of toned down the shakey camera work at times. I know thats the idea blah blah, but it was like watching youtube footage after a while. It worked at the beginning, creating a 'what the hells going on' atmosphere, but it became a bit annoying as the film wore on in my opinion. Oh, and the monster was crap... The film did have its moments though and the initial panic when the city first gets hit by the monster is created perfectly. I'll give it a 6/10, but i doubt i'd watch it again.

Who ever remembers an event, wedding or christmas purely for its video? Video recording is so amateur in anyones hands. No hidden messages/ clues. Instead the holes are bigger than Titanic!
Well that's what I meant - if you are willing to go along with the idea, then it's a fun movie. If not, then yes there is plenty to pick at...for example I saw someone saying that SD card based video cameras would not store the footage in linear order! On the other hand..that's why it's a movie - because it could never happen!
I think it's a cinema movie, at least for first viewing - there's a lot of background detail to enjoy, that could well be lost unless you have a huuuge tv.
I really enoyed it, but I wasn't expecting it to be brilleant anyway. Few things I would say about it, you see the monster way too much, leave a bit of ambiguity for it please. The plot of him looking for his girlfriend was a bit far fetched, I'll let that slide I suppose. I think it went on too long as well, some films should just end a good 10 or 15 minutes before it actually does, this was one of those films.

This isnt exactly a glowing review, bearing in mind the films only about 80 minutes long anyway!
