In most films I hate Jim Carrey, that stupid face of his - though I have admired him in one or two films, where he's slightly less zany, so he does have some talent.
I find the following really funny:
Roberto Benigni Peter Sellers
(I had intended to make a long list here but I can't think of any more at the moment!!)
I have to say I prefer Jim Carey in his more serious roles- I think that The Majestic and Eternal Sunshine showed that he is more than just a stupid face which actually iritates me.
Am actually having difficulty thinking of anyone who I find consistantly funny...More usually it is one or two performances I enjoy.
Yeah I've heard Eternal Sunshine is a good film - I want to see that.
I remember as a boy laughing my arse off at Abbot & Costello (well the short one, which ever one he was), but I'd probably find him irritating these days!
Bill Murray Laural and Hardy Peter Sellers Bob Hope Steve Martin (mostly) Jim Carrey Eddie Murphy Jack Lemmon Cary Grant Potentially.. George Clooney ( O Brother, Hilarious. Who knew?) Will Smith
Buster Keaton was the best imo. So much humour conveyed in his face and body movements, without the need for stoopid jokes. Saying that, there's something about Owen Wilson's laid-back comedic style that has me in stitches.
"...if u wanna make a fuzz, boy, u gotta be a tease, uh-huh..."
Jim Carrey has to be one of the best comedy actors out there. I love his films, and he brings so much improvisation into them. Others on my list would be:
Bill Murray Ben Stiller (Die hard remake) Nic Cage Arnie Jean Reno
