I think this was film of the year on J.Ross film 2005.

It passed me by. I love good Sci-fi. Has anyone seen it? What's it like?

I've seen it. its brilliant the best film of 2005 in my oppinion. cant wait for the DVD.

I've heard only good things about it, I'm very curious to see it myself.

Its okay. Got a few good ideas but IMHO its nothing special and i believe its very overrated....but hey, that's my journey.

I walked out after 20 minutes, thought it was awful....... personal taste I guess.

It's not bad as Sci-Fi movies go. Lots of action and battles. Nothing especially jaw-dropping though. However, if tickles yer fancy, it is worth getting the 'Firefly' TV series as well. Fills in a lot of gaps.

I dont understand why people walk out. You pay about £5 and leave so early on.

Because wasting your money is one thing, but wasting your time is something you can save. Plus sitting there while your blood boils at a movie you hate is bad for you. Or if it's simply just boring the hell out of you, why put yourself through it? £5 is not that big a deal.

I liked it! I've read the DVD has some brilliant extra features.

I't is a far future setting sci-fi where humans have spread to other planets, but there are no aliens. IT's a very low-fantisy-sci-fi. That said, there are a race of psychopathically insane mutated human canibal/pirate/barbarians who give the setting a sence of danger, and the government is secretly evil, performing live human experiments, and covering gross mistakes and corruption.

A back to the nuts and bolts of science fiction that shows you can still get plenty of scope without aliens and magic (but a little psychic power).

It's very good. I wasn't keen on going to see it, but I'm glad I did, as it beat all expectations.

Im a bit wary of people when i see them saying they walked out of a film ...especially one like Serenity...there was nothing about the film that was bad enough for anybody to walk out on,it was exactly as advertised in the trailers and the reviews(mostly good)so i would very much like to know two things from those here who said they walked out...
first why you walked
second why you went in
