A thread where you can post all those films that you thought were unfairly criticized. You might have even been put off seeing a film because of the bad reviews and whatnot, only to find it wasnt bad at all. My choice would be The Island, which was an entertaining popcorn movie. I happened to watch it this weekend -under duress- and I found myself enjoying it. A pleasant surprise!

The Chorus. The Critics said it was a manipulation of feelings and emotion. But what is the cinema? Besides the subtitles let some important meanings out.
I recently watched both The Fantastic Four and The Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy on DVD, after being convinced of their awfulness while they were out in the cinema, and I have to say I found both films a perfectly fine way to spend a couple of hours.
Beyond the Sea. It didn't get terrible reviews, was released in between other biopics which had something to do with it and Bobby Darin isn't as well known as others but it's originality sets it out from the rest. From the three musician biopics I've seen (BTS, Ray and Walk the Line) I would say it's the best one.
