Rocky Horror - and no I'm not a goth and I don't go those cinema conventions where everyone knows the words. Tim Curry looks bonkers, you still can't believe O' Brian made the film. Has the second worst 'non' ending (after time bandits). But it's quite fun to watch anyway Big Grin

I do love Withnail & I though - that could have ended better too

Could've been worse,

*SPOILER, ALTHOUGH NOT REALLY. I'M JUST PRE-EMPTING ANY POSSIBLE ACCUSATIONS OF SPOILING*

apparently after Withnail went back to the flat he was supposed to have filled two shotgun barrels with whisky, downed the whisky, then shot himself. They decided not to go with it as it might have been too downbeat. I wonder what gave them that idea!

None of the above. I like loads of cult films but the one which has made the biggest impact on me lately is Werckmeister Harmonies.

Would "Bill and Teds Excellent Adventure" be classed as a cult film?

I love it!

I've got it on DVD. I used to like it as a kid
but having watched it again I think it sucks.
It looks more like a pilot to some unmade 80's
TV series than a movie. What were Jeff Goldblum,
John Lithgow etc thinking of wasting their talents in this.

There was a great low budget horror film from 1988 called 'Scarecrows'. It basically takes place at night which gives it a far more creepy atmosphere. It's about five robbers who, after stealing some money, hijack a plane piloted by a father and his teenage daughter. Suddenly one of the robbers grabs the loot and parachutes out of the plane landing in a field populated by scarecrows which seem to be possessed by some sort of evil.
Does anyone recognise it?.
