Harry Potter And The Odour Of The Phoenix, they should have called it, because it stunk. Harry Potter is supposed to be a teenage boy but he still acts like a child and not like the believable adolescent that Daniel Radcliffe played in Extras. There was a nice allegory in the movie about a post 9/11 world, the patriot act and the torture in Abu Ghraib prison and Imelda Staunton's performance was the only thing in the movie that didn't make me nod off into my popcorn but the ending was just one long drawn out and muddled fight scene with characters popping up willy-nilly, none of whom I cared about. By the end of the movie I was just hoping that there was a spell called "moneyum refundum" so that I could get the money back which I payed to see this dreadful movie.
I think the films take you to another place than the books can, seeing it all happen infront of you makes all the difference. but they missed loads out in the film dissapointing but the film was still fabulous x
I loved the film, for i woudl be a seld-confessed HP fan, but i was dissapointed with the conituation of special effects, the veil was awful and it gave a non-HP feel, less ,agci invovled. I can't wait till HBP, they say it will be a different feel, that is a relief, and HBP is an excellent book, i just hope that the sens of magic is onvovled. But as the books had prgessed, drawing away form a world of magic then so have the films. I perosnally feel that the best film so far is POA. Hopefully HBP will prevail!

Have you no imagination?? Either that or JK isn't a very good writer.
I thought it was OK - OOTP wasn't one of my favourite HP books, so I thought the film did it justice. Goblet of fire is one of my favourite books in the series and I thought the film was rubbish.
