Austin was last seen as a special ref at Wrestlemania 23, he's all but retired from active wrestling.
Owen Hart died because certain safety precautions were not observed.
He was supposed to ascend from the celing much like Sting used to do in WCW. But the idea was he would get stuck and the 'prat fall' about 10 feet into the ring using a quick release mechanism.
Sadly the quick release gave way when he was up at 70 feet and he fell to the ring.
Wrestling is entertainment apparently. It's definitely not a sport, and it's pushing it to call it entertainment in my opinion. I literally don't see the point of it, and when you look at the mulletted, yokel wannabe crowd roaring like lunatics, it makes me fear for the long term future of America.
The contrived personalities, ridiculous plots, stupid finishing moves, the terrible acting, Vince McMahon - I simply can't watch any of it. I've had arguments with grown men trying to convince me that 'it's real' ? - Oh dear. "But Owen Hart died though" - yes, he had an accident.
I won't be watching this. If any gimp gets on trying to defend wrestling, i'll take a chair to them...
