I saw Bresson's classic film recently for the first time, and although it's on the short side I still found it very impressive. It's just been released on DVD and has been cited by Scorcese as a big influence on him. Definitely traces of Taxi Driver in the film, so a must see for all Scorcese fans out there. The actual pickpocket sequences are wonderful to watch particularly a long choreographed sequence at a railway station. It's also a great depiction of a thief as an outsider. Claustrophobic and gripping throughout.
