I have never looked forward to a film this year as much as this one. I can't wait to see an aging Indy - even one that pokes fun at his old age.......66.....DAMN - beat seven shades of shinola out of Nazis. To me Indy is at his best battling Nazis or any even army empire hence why I think Temple of Doom is rubbish.

2008 is the year when it is now cool to be old. First it was Rambo (Stalone at 61......Damn) and now this.

I can't wait Cool

Anyone checked Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull out yet?

I went last night for the first showing at VUE Cinema, Southport: Midnight. I had recently rewatched the three Indiana Jones films prior to this just to freshen up my memory.

I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this movie. It was inkeeping with the rest of the series, being set in the 50's it had moved on quite a lot but they captured the whole era perfectly.

I know that the movies had mixed reviews, I think people may be being a little narrow-minded with it but sure, it won't be everyones cup of tea! I think the main reason for this will be the whole sci-fi element which we have not experienced in an Indy film until now. Personally, I loved it. In the 50's they had moved on from the adventure serials and were focused more on B-Movies, therefore the sci-fi vibe in this movie fits in perfectly.

There's loads of great moments in the film and a few surprises, I don't want to spoil it for anyone who has yet to go and see it but would love to discuss it furthur and gage a general opinion on the movie from others, so get back to me! Wink
