I tend to use this site a lot to get info from fans for my coursework research and I would really appreciate it if some of you would fill this out for me - girls only I'm afraid.

Fashion and film questionnaire
1. Do you feel that fashion in film and the overall style of popular film stars has as big an effect on women as consumers today as they did 20-50 years ago?
2. Do film stars from the past still influence the way you dress?
3. Who are your current style icons (generally – not just film)?
4. Who do you think is the ultimate style icons of the past (film-wise)?
5. Who do you think is the current style icon (film-wise)?
6. Do you think that fashion in film and film star fashion is an attainable look?
7. What are your thoughts of Audrey Hepburn as a style icon?
8. Why do you think she still influences fashion today?
9. What do you think of Kate Hudson as a style icon?
10. Film fashion has taken a backseat and now pop stars and TV stars are influencing the way we dress. Why do you think this is?

'And the triangle becomes a square'.

'You are everything you want to be
So just let your heart reach out to me
I'll be right by your side
Say goodnight not good-bye'.

1. No i don't, maybe because in the past the studios protected them from the press, which maintained their God-like status, whereas today we are used to seeing unflattering heat photos of stars. Also television wasn't available for everyone and beatle mania which brought the onslought of the mass merchandising of music hadn't happened.
2.Yes
3.Kate moss, Kirsten Dunst, Mischa barton,
4.Audrey hepburn, Katharine hepburn, Grace kelly
5.Naomi watts, Gwineth Paltrow
6.Relatively attainable if you just take ideas from it and do your own thing
7.I think she was elegant, restrained
8.The little back dress outfit and hair-do in breakfast at tiffany's is timeless, and she showed that you didn't have to be super curvy or show lots of flesh to be beautiful.
9.Her hair always looks nice but I don't think she is particularly original or glamourous.
10.Pop stars and TV stars are often younger than a lot of film stars, so naturally they'd be more inclined to be into fashion and would carry it off better. Possibly because pop stars etc often wear high street clothes from England, whereas film stars where expensive designer clothes; so the former's style is much more accessable and easy to imitate.

I hope all the waffaling has been some use
