Blow Out - Top film about a sound man who possibly witnesses a murder. Great stuff from Travolta and De Palma, tense and intriguing through out. You're gonna love that ending!
Walk The Line - Brilliant performances from Joaquin Phoenix and Resse Witherspoon. Great soundtrack obviously. And the T-1000 IS Johhny Cash's dad! What more can you want from a film?
Jarhead - A modern day Apocalypse Now that doesn't force any idealistic 'War is hell' messages down your throat. Moral of this film: 'Men like to kill things.'
Lord Of War - Moral of this film: 'Men like to kill things...and make money out of it.'
The Aristocrats - Everybody but Paul Reiser is funny. Even Robin Williams.
There's the elephant. He's happy with his balloon. Oh no! It's gone! Where is it? It's not behind the rhino. Look in the alligator's mouth. It's not there either. Ohhhh... the monkey's got it in the tree! He brings it back. They all drink lemonade. The end.
Inside Im Dancing starring Shameless' James McAvoy.
Wonderful film about two young men confined to wheelchairs, who desperately want to live independent lives. It was funny, moving & at times tearful. Would recommend it.

Twins - Much better when I was a kid. The score was the best thing about this movie. 2/5
Good Night and Good Luck - Brilliant. The black & white made it very atmospheric and I felt like I was in the news room with the guys. David Strathairn gave an awesome performance as Murrow. 4/5
A Time to Kill - Good thriller. It's Grisham adaption with a good cast what's not to like (even Matt McConaghey (sp?) was good and I don't like him). 3/5
The Terminal - Good film with a good performance from Hanks. Certainly not Spielberg's best but a watchable movie. 3/5
-------- Don't Blame Me, I Voted For Stewart/Colbert!
I watched the excellent documentary 'One Day in September' which I havent seen in several years and makes 'Munich' seem poorer than I initially thought when seeing Spielberg's film. I then saw the excellent thriller 'Read My Lips' on BBC4 which was odd and packed with great performances notably from the timeless Vincent Cassell. I saw a bit of Brian De Palma's 'Psycho' tribute 'Dressed to Kill' - but had to bail out as there is only so much stylish soft-porn I can take! One of his worst films ....
"See you on doomsday!"- Sadegh Hedayat's suicide note
Enduring Love - I read the book a while ago and it was really good but I wasn't impressed by the film
Sideways - I thought that maybe after all the fuss about it that I might have been disappointed, but I wasn't, it was a really enjoyable film, I liked it a lot.
Walk the Line - Excellent film, I want to watch it again

Walk the Line was superb. When I first heard that Joaquin Phoenix was going to play Cash, i was a bit OH-OH, but he was effing great.
Also saw Funny Games by Michael Hanneke. Horribly brilliant and disturbing. Was so not a Hollywood tale of a family being held by 2 psycho kids. Now have to go and see Hidden - any one seen it yet?
Hostel - Very good, certainly not for the faint hearted.

O Brother Where Art Thou - I'd never seen it before, it was ok. George Clooney was good in it although his tone of voice was starting to get to me after a while
The Fog (the new one) - It was alright, bits of it were jumpy but it was a tad predictable.
24 Hour Party People - I know bits and pieces about the Manchester scene but I was too young to be into it. That didn't spoil my enjoyment of this film though. I thought it was pretty funny. The mishaps and poor manage
