The Stendhal Syndrome - Bonkers Argento epic dubiously linking the overwhelming power of art with, er, a rape fantasy. Features extra daughter molestation.

Has quite possibly some of the worst performances I have ever seen committed to celluloid, but I suppose looking for method acting in an Argento film is like looking for social commentary in a Wayans brothers flick.

3-Iron - Loved this, thought it was brilliant. It's a credit to Kim Ki-Duk that this story is one that you just wouldn't believe on paper would actually work but it's mesmerising. 9/10.

Oops, pressed Post Now by mistake.

Perfume: The Story of a Murderer - I have been anticipating this since I read the book and as it's main theme is of the olfactory I had wondered how it would translate to the big screen. The verdict is excellently and in no small part I'm sure to Ben Whishaw who played the lead. The small changes made to the story line worked really well and it was well-paced and well done imo. I don't know if everyone will be happy with the ending but it stayed true to the book. It is an unusual story. 9/10

The Devil Wears Prada

Certainly it's a chick flick, but Meryl Streep is great as Miranda Priestly.
Although there are a lot of changes compared to the book. But the film is very good nonetheless!!!

Little Children
While it is a powerful film, with excellent performances etc. I found the narration totally unnecessary and got to the point of getting on my nerves. It felt like it was added as an after thought in case the audience didn't get what was going on.
For me, it almost ruined what is indeed a very good film.

Romanzo Criminale
One of the highlights this year, for me any way. An excellent tale of Rome's underworld that starts in the 70's. While the end is a bit weak it's well worth it's 150 minute length.

Borat
Some scenes are forced and go on way too long but when it's funny it's hilarious.

Did anyone see Red Road? Didn't manage to get to it yet.

Sleepy Hollow - Very disapointing

Chasing Amy - Good film this. Very funny in places. A different Smith

Jay and Silent Bob Strikes Back - I saw this when it first came out on DVD and thought it was alright, funny in places. Looking back, half the jokes went over my head. Since i've seen Smith's previous works i was pissing myself from begining to end. Very good film this.

The Last Kiss. Great film but kinda strange in parts! Anyone else seen it?

Spreading the Carby Love

I spend 23 hours a day wondering whether we’re wrong for each other, wondering whether the baggage we both bring would be enough to sink a small ship...But in the 24th hour, I realise I’ve been thinking about her for 23 hours and it always comes back to, there's something about her that I can’t stay away from. Something about her, that makes me wanna…love her.
