Red RoadBleak, disturbing and a very real account of one woman's obsession with a man she recognises from CCTV footage. I'm not going to give the storyline away but it is well worth a watch.
The HostWhile it's no Tremors or Slither it is still a good bit of fun. The one pity about it is that it is only a 15 cert.
The PrestigeWell acted, beautifully filmed, this is a very smart film. Christopher Nolan once again proving his filmmaking ability. The one questionable thing about it is the ending. Personally I didn't mind it but I can understand how people might be put off by it.
Starter for 10A really nice feel good film, totally enjoyed this and it has a cracking soundtrack. Never mind the posters claims of 'hilarious' & 'best comedy in years', it's not, but it does have one thing alot of its competition lacks, a human touch.
Sixty SixHaving absolutely no interest in football I went to this not expecting much but the World Cup plays a secondary role as this is the story of Bernie, the young boy whos barmitzvah just so happens to fall on the same day as the final in 1966.
Enjoyable, but does get a bit too sentimental in the last act.
12 and HoldingA story about 3 twelve year olds and how they cope with the death of their friend. A brilliant, powerful film with fine acting performances from the kids. A fine ensemble of adult actors too including Annabella Sciorra & Jeremy Renner.
The Tiger's TailThis embarrassingly bad effort from John Boorman is quite simply awful. In short it about a successful property developer in Dublin (Brendan Gleeson) who's life is turned around when he sees his 'double'.
I still can't quite decide which was worse, the acting, the directing or Kim Catrell's Irish accent.
