Mean Machine - funny in places. Not as good as the American cover.

Borat the movie. Not as funny as people told me it was. Felt a little uneven.

The Gift - Very good film this. Really got into this big-time.

Mindhunters - A very intense and enjoyable thriller. Was well impressed with this. Never rated Renny Harlin (IMHO most of his films are crap), but this is a little gem. Nice one

Lol. That made me laugh.

My super ex-girlfriend - quite boring and quite pointless. Slightly entertaining. 4/10.

Pom Poko - Loved it. This is the third Ghibli film I've seen and they really just delight me. Loved the prominant 'pouches' and the way the raccoons looked like teddies when they were celebrating. 9/10.

Election - Reece Witherspoon was perfect but the film was just a bit weird. Too crude for a high-school movie really. No class, disappointing. 4/10.

The Departed - Very intense film that never lets up when it comes to pulling you into it universe. A very different Scorsese film that is very, very, very enjoyable. Excellent. Well pleased with this entertaining film.

Pan's Labyrinth
After the mediocre Blade II and the disappointing Hellboy (yes I didn't like it), Guillermo del Toro hits the nail on the head with this one. Stunningly beautiful to watch, very violent and disturbing in places. His best work to date.

Santa Clause 3
I'm not going to bother saying anything about this, not even then kid within me enjoyed it.

Casino Royale
2nd viewing.
Thoroughly enjoyed it again and I saw Richard Branson this time...
Daniel Craig is terrific.

American Splendour
Took a while to get going but once it does it's a treat. Paul Giamatta is, as usual, perfect in the role. A very clever and witty film, never have grouches and nerds been so charming.

Superman 2 - The Richard Donner Cut

Vastly superior to the Richard Lester version in every way and i like that version to boot. Just to let you know, this is a different film with a different narrative. Fantastic and a must for all Superman and none Superman fans. Brilliant.

Big Nothing
Silly but very enjoyable black comedy. Strange hearing Simon Pegg with an American accent though.

Flushed Away
Thoroughly enjoyable and fun. Now this is the way these type of films should be made unlike the hugely overrated, boring Cars/Incredibles.

Breaking and Entering
Very good for the first hour or so but unfortunately falls apart after that. The performances are fine especially Juliette Binoche who is, as usual, flawless. It felt like Anthony Minghella didn't know what to do come the last hour of the film. Pity, could have been great.

Stranger than Fiction
Three words to describe this film:
Go, See and It!
One of the best films of the year. Wonderful cast, I even have an appreciation for Will Ferrell now, but it's Emma Thompson who shines.
