Death Sentence - The 3rd film i've seen by James Wan and like the two before hand (SAW and Dead Silence), this is a brilliant film. James Wans dark direction certainly suits the tone of the story. Brilliant, I recommend anyone to watch.

The last film I watched was Nightwatch. Its a Russian film with a good story and effects.

Its about the battle between the people of light (Nightwatch) vs the people of darkness (Daywatch) who are both trying to maintain a truce since their leaders realised they was evenly matched and would just destroy each other if their battle continued.

The World's Fastest Indian 8/10

The life story of New Zealander Burt Munro, masterfully played by Britain's finest ever actor... Anthony Hopkins. It's a life portrait of Burt, who spent years building a 1920 Indian motorcycle, a bike which set the land-speed world record at Utah's Bonneville Salt Flats in 1967 at a speed of over 200 mph. Hopkins is superb as usual, only his accent differentiates from time to time and isn't the best New Zealand accent I've ever heard, but his acting more than makes up for what he lacks in that department! Very good film, and very funny too.

Fracture 9/10

Another Hopkins special! He dominates this film from start to finish. You can see Ryan Gosling smiling inside knowing he's getting out-acted, and his performance was very good! Hopkins' ability to disappear inside a character is quite astounding! Excellent thriller, excellent acting, excellent twist at the end.

American Gangster 8/10

Based on a true story, Denzel Washington is Frank Lucas. A criminal mastermind who built a $200million heroin empire, only to get busted by the NYPD and get half of them locked up for corruption. Denzel and Russel both deliver great performances and it's one of Ridley's finest films in recent years in my opinion. Not quite Serpico, but still great nevertheless.

Stuck on You 9/10

Hilarious comedy film from the Farrelly brothers, who've made films such as Dumb & Dumber, Shallow Hal and There's Something about Mary. Matt Damon and Greg Kinnear are the perfect match in this film and Eva Mendes is absolutely gorgeous! Bob and Walt Tenor are burger bar owner conjoined twins who share a liver, how funny is that! Walt follows his dreams of making it as a Hollywood actor, and persuades his hesitant brother Bob to go along for the ride... and what a ride it is.

Blimey, havnt seen Mr Eko for ages!!

Last film - Ronin. Car chases are still stunning, but it does still feel a tad too long.

Bee Movie - As fan of Seinfeld i enjoyed this movie

Hitman - Entertaining.....nuff said

Alien Vs Predator 2: Requiem - Highly entertaining sequel and continuation of an awful original. Reason why I enjoyed this.....Paul WS Anderson was nowhere to be seen......thank fook for that.

The Golden Compass - As far as 2007 fantasy films are concerned, I prefered Stardust

The Assasination of Jesse james by the Coward Howard Ford - Pretty Good film that is visually striking although the pace does take a bit of getting use to.

Last American Freak Show. follows a group of "freaks" around America as they perform their show. Opens your eyes to what a tough life really is, and amazing how much fun they have whilst doing it. Great film, but Bafta have just banned it due to its portayal of disabled people (ironic, as it was filmed by a disabled camerman/producer..)

I watched Juno and Rambo over the weekend.
I thought Juno was brilliant, i honestly didnt expect to like it, but it surprised me. 9/10
Rambo is pretty much as you'd expect -lots of action and lots of anonymous bad guys getting their heads blown off. I thought it was great! 7/10

No Country for Old Men 10/10

Javier Bardem...! What an immense actor. Masterpiece of a film. Very much deserved to win for Best Picture and Best Director, aswell as Best Screenplay and of course, Best Supporting Actor by Javier Bardem.

Black Snake Moan 9/10

Christina Ricci never ceases to surprise me, she is such a brilliant actress. Sam Jackson is firing on all cylinders aswell. Excellent blues soundtrack including songs performed by Sam Jackson, he learned to play blues guitar for this picture and it shows too! I found this film very funny.

Shooter 8/10

I really rate Mark Whalberg as an actor, he was by far the best actor in The Departed, however, he has developed a mumbling defect since then and for the most part of this picture I could barely understand what he was saying, despite the volume of the TV being at it's maximum! Good action and well thought out plot. Danny Glover seemed to be over-acting, but all in all, was impressed with this film. Start was good, then it slowed right down in the middle before picking up again toward the end. Michael Pena puts in another good performance.
