Bachelor Party 2: The last Temptation - Hillarious film, well enjoyed this.

Don't bother if easily offended or fell through a time vortex from the 19th century.

The Mist - Absolutely brilliant. Frank Darabont (Director of Shawshank Redemption and Green Mile) does it again and goes for a hatrick. Go watch this film. A very shocking and intense ending.

Into The Wild 10/10

What do you get when Sean Penn is associated with a film? A masterpiece is usually what prevails, and this is no exception. Years in the making, this is Penn's finest picture as director in my opinion. A truly brilliant film in every department. Emile Hirsch is excellent as Alexander Supertramp, an identity he takes after graduating university and giving his $24,000 savings to charity before embarking on his great Alaskan adventure. William Hurt, Vince Vaughn, Marcia Gay Harden, Jena Malone and a very beautiful Kristen Stewart make a fine ensemble cast. Outstanding cinematography, outstanding soundtrack, I can't praise this film enough!

The Taking of Pelham One Two Three 10/10

Why is this film being remade? Even though Denzel Washington is one of the finest actors on the planet, this classic doesn't deserve a remake, it can't possibly be any better than the 1974 original! Anyway... Robert Shaw is on form again, this is a brilliant film about a hijack on a NYC subway train. A gang of "heavily armed men" demand $1million dollars for the release of the train and it's inhabitants and it's the job of Walter Matthau to somehow dethrone the gang. Funny, intelligent, brilliantly acted, amazing script and the influence for Tarantino's "multi-coloured" crew in Reservoir Dogs.

Sicko 10/10

Michael Moore's documentary about the pathetic, disgusting, capitalist money-grabbers that are America's private health care companies. Moore is an excellent filmmaker and has a lot of guts to make the kind of films he does. He explores the US health care system, to which a third of American's cannot afford to insure themselves in the event that they become ill or suffer an injury of some type which requires medical/hospital treatment. There's the usual intelligent and humorous script that only Moore can deliver when facing such important issues as these. The ending is quite superb... Moore takes a group of ill patients, some of who have suffered post-illness from the fallout dust of the collapsing World Trade Centre to more general health problems, to Cuba. A country that, according to Bush, has the "devil" in charge, a man who transformed it's national health system to the one of the finest in the world. A country as poor as cuba, like Canada, France and the UK, has FREE health care, whereas the US, easily the richest nation on earth asks you to pay if you fall ill... so much for being a "free" nation, the land of the "free"... the American dream! The generous Cuban medics took care of the American's without batting a eye-lid, all free of charge! Castro is a "hero"... Bush is the "devil"!

The Last Time 9/10

Great film starring Michael Keaton and Brendan Fraser. Keaton is Ted Ryker, an aggressive foul-mouthed cynic with a failed relationship in his past, but also the top salesman for a New York business machine company. Fraser is Jamie, a new employee who comes into the mix, he's a callow Midwesterner who's come with his fiancée Belisa to start a new life in New York. Ryker watches as Jamie fails and becomes despressed, then takes a shine to his girl, Belisa. Great story, great acting, and a great twist at the end!

The other Boleyn Girl- reasonably good but why can't they find British actresses to act in a film set in britain about the british monarchy?

Just watched the original '3:10 To Yuma'. Hadn't seen it in donkey's years. Russell Crowe isn't fit to lick the great glenn Ford's boots. Easily a 5/5 film. Brilliant stuff.

Death Proof 9/10

Absolutely excellent film from the almost flawless Quentin Tarantino. He couldn't act his way out of a paper bag, but the guy knows how to use a camera! Kurt Russell is Stuntman Mike, a former Hollywood stunt race car driver who targets and kills women with his "death-proof" car. The car chase scene between Stuntman Mike's Dodge Charger and Kim's Dodge Challenger is as good as, if not better than anything seen in Vanishing Point, Bullitt, The French Connection and Ronin considering the stunts involved! The film is shot in raw 70's style, the soundtrack is terrific, Tarantino's cinematography is excellent, sharp script, sexy woman and fine acting all account for a truly excellent film.

Brokeback Mountain 9/10

This is what love is all about! Fabulous film and great performances from everybody, particularly Heath Ledger.

Passion and Prejudice 9/10

New England college professor Gwen hires handsome young prison inmate Dalton as a handy man through a prison work program. Their mentor-student relationship soon turns into a passionate love affair, but when Dalton finishes his prison sentence, Gwen puts him into college and he meets and falls for a pretty young student. Gwen becomes obsessed with remaining in Dalton's life, or destroying it completely. Saw this film on True Movies and it's excellent!

The Mist. A siege movie with a twist. Instead of criminals or zombies, this one has Aliens/bugs.

It also features an upbeat ending mixed with a real bad one for the story's hero. Recommended.

John Rambo. Great movie for gore hounds such as myself, not so much for anyone else.

Lake Dead. Awful slasher movie with zero production value or originality
