It seems to me that there are a lot of people 'studying' media studies that either don't know, don't show, or don't care about what goes on in the cinema.

i imagine that they do have their own opinions on films, but as media students we are told by exam boards to go on forums like this and get peoples opinions for our projects. if you don't care about this you didn't need to view the article, it clearly stated what it was. it's not our fault that we have to go through this and you guys giving us a hard time just makes it more difficult.

Thank you Nash297. I do have my own opinion on this subject but as a Media Student i have to conduct research on other peoples opinions. So if you dont want to help me by filling out my questionnaire, could you refrain from insulting my intelligence and think about your responses to this post.

*A "Chick Flick" is something you reluctantly watch with your girlfriend. If you've gone to a cinema to watch one you can get a snooze in after the opening credits. You can also master the technique of appearing to be awake by chuckling when your girlfriend laughs at the on screen action. This is much harder to do at home watching one on T.V. Zen meditation can help in this instance as this enables you to concentrate the mind on something else whilst appearing engaged with the film.
