Has someone seen the film? I did not understood everything. And even if I like horror or ghost films, I always watch them with a Cartesian mind. I feel the director took a lot of liberty in order to frighten the audience. I think a minimum of logic is necessary to be credible. Or else, the film was too intelligent for me and some parts of it went right above my station.

Of course, I go to see horror films to be frightened! (not only). I read a detailed synopsis of the script and I understand better. I must say I don't read the subtitles quickly enough and I missed some important visual details. I could not understand how the little boy ended in that cupboard. Also I thought the boy with the bag on the head was her son pushing her in the bath out of revenge because she did not want to see Thomas's little house. And why the old woman was run over by a car? Just because it was convenient for the director?
She got pushed in the bath either by the ghost of Tomas or by her son with the sack on his head. Do you mean how her son ended up in the basement? He was shown by the ghost of Tomas and went into the basement, which is what he wanted to show his mother. The old woman got ran over, just because she was shocked to see the little boys mother and she stopped in the middle of the road. It was just an accident in the film.

Thanks! That went above my head! As I said, I was too busy reading the subtitles. I don't think they were indispensable. This film could have been dubbed without commiting a cultural sin.Horror films are usually very visual films and the image is more important than the words.
Yeah, I know what you mean. I get more confused by dubbed films though to be honest, I lose what they're saying most of the time, I do much prefer subtitles.
