so what about episodes 7, 8 and 9? One minute he's saing it was a story in 9 parts and now he's saying he's never considered beyond 6. He wants to make his feckin mind up. the end of Return of the Jedi does seem like a good place to finish, mind. Though it would have been quite somthing to see the original cast back for a final trilogy. I still believe that will happen. particularly in the current lazy 'easy money remakes' climate. Star Wars is still a MAJOR cash cow
Does sound good though. I'd give it a watch, but if it burst my star wars bubble I would be annoyed. The Young Indiana Jones chronicles are quite cheesey but addictive. But a fourth Indiana Jones movie?! Not sure I want to see that.

I don't know what all the fuss is about the new Stars Wars film. Hollywood at it's worst and proof that no matter how much money you spend on special effects they cannot disguise the absence of a script. And as for those queueing up weeks in advance to see the Premier, if they waited they'll be able to pick up the dvd for a fiver in the Tesco's bargain bin this time next year.
but I am certain that if it was re-cast, the generation who sees the next actor to play Indiana Jones (as their first experience of the character) will prefer whoever it is instead of Harrison Ford's version. It happened with Connery's Bond. People who saw Moore first prefer him. People who saw Brosnan first prefer him and on it will go. And as with Bond each recasting will piss off the Harrison Ford lovers more than the last as it moves further and further away from why it was great in the first place till we have Indiana Jones in Space

Ooh Kieser, do you know something we don't? Do you think they'll go ahead with bringing Indiana's son to take over??? Who do you think will suit the role? WHAT AM i SAYING f*^~ THE ROLE!

I haven't heard anything, but I meant the actual straight recasting of Indiana Jones rather than a spin-off character of a son, but I wouldn't put anything past the Hollywood machine. I can't imagine anyone other than Harrison Ford, same as I can't imagine any better James Bond than Sean Connery
No I can't either....WE CAN'T, WE SHOULDN'T IT CAN'T HAPPEN! There's a film called the greatest show on Earth with Charlton Heston wearing the exact same gear as Jones - I wonder if Speilberg nicked the idea from that. V. glad he did - Harrison Ford has never looked sexier!

he got his hat from the guy. he got the whip fom the lion's den carriage. And yes, poor River. he was going to be quite a talent I think. He already was. Better than Johnny Depp. though depp has grown enormously. Whos to say River pheonix would have kept up the standard
Oooh didn't realise that will definately have to get the box set of Indiana Jones....saw it for twenty quid in a sale but didn't have enough money to buy it...
So the Star Wars tv series good move or bad move? Might be interesting to see it if like it says it's the stories inbetween eps 3 and 4 (?). But it might also burst my Star Wars bubble so I'm not too sure. Think when I watched the Indiana Jones ones I saw them as being seperate and not involved with the films at all. If that makes sense.
Brought back onto topic?

A Star Wars TV series? well I'm not against it in principal as much as I might have been 10 years ago but TV can hit pretty great heights these days. I'm sure if it has Lucas Films behind it, then it will have maximum production value. I just hope they get real talent in to write and direct and act in it. I must admit I'd love to see the stuff with Han Solo when he was a Storm Trooper filmed
Talking about Indy again (I can here it now, he's going off topic!!!)
I read an interview with George Lucas (or Spielberg, can't remember which one) in an old issue of Empire, he stated that throughout Indy 4 there will be a number of jokes directed at Harrison's age. So I'm imagining something similar to what was done with Lethal Weapon.
The whole Star Wars TV show has been talked to death in my eyes, there has been constant rumours since around the beginning of last year. I've heard constant stuff from "oh George Lucas isn't giving it up..." to stuff like "Kevin Smith has been rumoured to be attached to the project" and then various story related queries "who will it be about, when will it be based, will Mark Hamill return...?" etc.
