Hi, for my second year in 'a' level media studies i have chosen the subject of women in film. I chose to base my research directly on teenage girls representation in independent film. This lead me to the comparison of the representation of the girls in my two focus films 'Thirteen' and 'My summer of love'-'thirteen' being from the independent film of the US and 'my summer of love' from the brittish independent cinema.

Part of my research is to receive others opinions of the films themselves and how others feel these teenage girls are being represented.

Do you feel that in these two films the girls are being poorly represented? e.g. innocence taken from them? shown as sexual objects?

How different or alike do you feel these two films are to eachother?

Do you feel that i have chosen appropriate films for my research?

If you have any other opinions which may help me with my research they would be greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks.
