While I never judge a film by a trailer but this just looks way too over the top. It just doesn't seem to be John McClane ordinary tough cop anymore its more like John McClane Superhero. And I really don't like the look of the fighter jet, True Lies anyone...
But we'll wait and see.
Any thoughts?

I was surprised that I enjoyed Die Hard 3 as much as I did. All the Die Hard films are good entertainment when there is nothing else on, but I can probably wait to see the fourth until it hits ITV.
It will be hard to stretch the series to a fourth though, but I hope they don't go down the route you mention. I hope it is good though, as i have enjoyed the films over the years.
All the 'Die Hard' films have been over the top really, and unless you go one step further, then there was really no point in making a fourth film. maybe for that reason this film shouldn't have been made, but I actually thinks that it looks like fun, and Timothy Olyphant is a skilled actor who will make a great adversary for John McClane.
Ohh they haven’t gone and spoilt it by making it a 12 have they, full of pointless special effects?? It’s like when the Terminator story was spoilt forever by making a tame and pointless 3rd film.
die hard 4 will probably be a '15' no way will the dreaded 12a rise it's ugly head here.whether it 'll be any good is another story.looks ok,typical,flashy summer blockbuster,i'm more looking forward to transformers - the trailer promises action galore and jaw dropping fx.
'Jaw dropping fx' if I wanted to see that sort of thing I'd play a video game. Films are supposed to be comprised of things that actually occurred in real life; such as acting and car chases... not a fancy animation or image tween created by a chinless wonder on an Apple Mac. I deride no pleasure in watching films that rely on CGI.
Die hard 4 i think will be good especially if orginal director john mctiernen is directing.
While in an interview bruce willis explained that people will be shocked at his change in character he is no longer a cop now a security guard he is now bald {willis could have had a wig but opted not to just to show the character had aged}
But still firing off 1 liners and still packing a punch die hard 4 will stay faithful but remember times are changing
