1. Female film directors are often perceived differently to male directors in terms of less success, talent, wealth etc. How do you perceive female directors both generally and in comparison to male directors and why?

2. In relation to the previous question why do you think that there are constant comparisons between male and female film directors?

3. Do you think that women are treated equally to men in the film industry with regard to film direction and why?

4. What is your view on the fact that no woman has ever won an Oscar for film directing?

5. Do you think that creating a successful film is harder for female directors and why?

6. Do you think that women are associated with a particular genre of film and why?

7. There are significantly more male film directors than female directors. Why do you think this is and what are your views on this?

8. Finally, do you have a favourite female film director and what are the reasons for your choice? If you do not, why is this?

female directors bcause of the narrow genres they work in r percieved as not being able 2 handle the big movies that mainstream offers.

male directors will risk on a huge scale 2 get their projects made and get kudos 4 it when their movies r hits.

if women directors don't put themselves 4word they won't get 2 do anthing but romantic comedies/domestic dramas/personal indie projects.

fave director: kathryn bigelow cos she works in genre not noted 4 women.
