Isn't chatting someone up a little cheesy? I used to work with this (married) bloke who would chat up pretty much any female whom he came into contact with, he was unbelievably insecure. An unlikeable chap as well in my opinion.

Perhaps the married bloke wanted to prove he was not past his sell by date! me and my mate, a few years ago now, used to go to a singles night and in the end I stopped going, coz all the blokes were married!
