This has been said before but the most important thing about musical taste is that it is not logical. For some reason i have never been able to get into Rush and I don't know what that reason is.

If you look over that list again you will notice that none of the albums are later than 1975.

This is not deliberate but pre-1976 prog has a very different flavour to later efforts of which Rush (starting with 2112 in 1976) were probably the best. Somehow it never quite worked for me (maybe because i turned 20 in that year).

Also, all but Caravanserai are by British bands. The transatlantic version of prog had a different character (as did most European prog).

I've noticed that with Camel, although their 1st album came out in 1973. Smile

I have a Rush album but its the Greatest Hits 1974-87. Quite like Subdivisions from the album and thats from 1983! Eek

Indeed. The live version from Yessongs is even better. One of the top 5 tracks of all time IMO.
