Ok, i haven't, but lets just pretend i have.
Look at all that great music i've missed out on!
So your at my hospital bed and you are giving me 3 cd's or albums that represent excellent music.
The 3 of your choice must be a "must listen to"
No more than 3 though i have a lot of catching up to do with the missus.
My personal 3 would probably be

I to Sky = JJ72
Sue = Frazier Chorus
Alright on Top = Luke Slater

to illustrate the staggeringly huge leaps and bounds in music progression in the 25 years you've been under;

Franz Ferdinand
The Coral
Calvin Harris

you'd be totally awed by how much music has changed.

If the last pop music you remember was 1982 and you woke up in 2007 you'd probably take one look at the music around you and wish you were back in a coma again.

This is difficult. I'd use this as an opportunity to show how music had careered off down countless pretty insane but marvellous little backroads:

1. Melt Banana - "Cell Scape"
2. Various Artists - "Stockholm Mix Sessions 3 - Adam Beyer"
3. Various Artists - "Mary Anne Hobbs Presents The Warrior Dubz"

...that would probably cause a relapse of the coma - oh well.

Rinky-dink list there, but would've thought you'd get the title of "Fab Four Suture" correct, especially seeing how you've actually reviewed it on Amazon... heh. But no Von Sudenfed album? Pah!

Sorry CT, wasn't at home and was coming up with the list off the top of my head - I kind of think of them as seperate singles anyway. That compilation of singles anyway, I have played that often. Thought the VS LP was just OK, not really much MES hadn't done with DOSE and Plug Myself In, but a bit better than this year's patchy Fall LP

& there are loads of other contenders that could have been in there. The point, tediously put in a list, is that there is much to listen to if one has been in a coma since 1982!!

That's an interesting list...I wouldn't have said that I was a big fan of 80's or 90's music...and yet I think I could have that list on loop and be happy for a very long time... Razz

please get over yourself. he asked for THREE. that is what makes this a difficult challenge.

It's a fantastic list though! I couldn't pick just three.

& I gave three - see above. The slightly sniffy comments on this period in music made me want to post more. I adhered to the rules of the site though and it's certainly not papal dictum. If ye have a problem with it - scroll down.

The person in a coma is being a bit optimistic - the muscle damage etc will mean that is easier to listen to music than catch up with the Mrs. In fact, if things are like The Dead Zone, all you will have is music, as she'll have gone off with another guy in the interim. Still, it's not all bad - you now have psychic powers!!!
