Whose your favourite British female singer, and what's your favourite song of theirs? Do you think Dusty still reigns supreme or do you prefer a bit of Winehouse?.

Question:
Who in your opinion is/or was the best British female singer?

Choices:
Amy Winehouse
KT Tunstall
Corinne Bailey Rae
Joss Stone
Kate Nash
Sophie Ellis Bextor
Natasha Bedingfield
Lily Allen
Annie Lennox
Kate Bush
Katie Melua
Dusty Springfield
Beverley Knight
Amy MacDonald
Other (please state)

Other, Its depends on how I feel as to who I listen to.
For Me one Day Lennox will be the best the next Allen.

Very nearly voted for Dusty but Annie Lennox won by a tiny margin.

She just oozed class and talent at Live8 - Madonna had a stage full of dancers and all the 'Hello World' stagey cr@p.

Annie, in jeans and pretty top like a million women watching the show, walked up to the microphone at the front of the stage and opened her mouth and sang. No fuss, no frills - but that voice made the world stop turning for a second.

It has to be Kate Bush for me cos I've just so enjoyed her individuality and music over the years .. but Annie is fantastic too.

Kate Rusby. Go on, tell me you've never heard of her.

No one voting yet for Shabnam or Samanda? Inexplicable.

Love Annie but Dusty Springfield had something very special. For me, it's her. She's the British Piaf in terms of 'drama'.

No Mention of Alison Moyet. Her singing "Only You" is one of the best songs I have ever heard.

But out of the one's listed has to be Annie Lennox.
