news this week that "hotly-tipped" Joe Lean and the Jing Jang Jong's debut album has been scrapped
days before its scheduled release date-

the story given is that they feel it doesn't represent them fully, so they're supposedly re-recording it for a release next year.

however, the NME have given the album 8/10, claiming it to be "genuinely innovative".

Question:
why was it scrapped?

Choices:
they really have improved/changed massively since they recorded it.
their record label have realised form JLATJJJ's dismal singles chart positions that there's no room in a saturated market for yet another Libertines-lite indie-by-numbers band, even with NME hype behind it

The lead singer played Thomas Tallis in television's totally-historically-accurate-and-competently-acted atrocity "The Tudors" - so perhaps the record company were bitterly disavowed not to receive an album of devotional Christian choral motets.
