Al the epys of Futurama are better than the Simpsons epys from Season 9 and on apart from a few. Simpsons were awesome in the early years and both them and Futurama are wicked shows, if I had to choose one it would be The Simpsons, if only because it started it all, and without it, there would be no Futurama...
i did always like Simpsons but resently the simpsons has been repeted to death so much for c4 and new simpsons, glad it has brought out the new stuff again. but in the end i do prefer futurama asi it is a more complete programme with sometimes better storylines, plus it can be more crazy bacause it can with the whole future thing which seems to work better plus the use of celebrities and flashbacks produces what i believe to be a slightly better programme
I think The Simpsons and Futurama are equal in terms of quality. However, I prefer The Simpsons though many people say that if Futurama had been made first then it would ahve the recognition and fame that The Simpsons has and that The Simpsons would be taking a backseat to it.
Both are great, however Futurama edges it for me because the humour seems a little more grown up and there is an incredible scope for potential storylines. Plus so many in-jokes and spoofs.
Me and my friend allways have this arguement and I think the Simpsons is far better although Futurama is good it is more directed towards the american audience and inherently is not as clever or whitty as the simpsons and I think that is one of the biggest jokes in the simpsons even if it is unitentional, it is about a middle american family yet some of the humour is beyound the majority of those people now this is not me being racist but british comedy is a lot more clever and sometimes sarcastic than american humour and it's very rare to find an american such as matt who has a grasp of it I can only think of a handfull of american comedy shows that have done as well over here as they have done in the states and as for the other way around some of our most clasic comedy series' such as only fools and horses and Faulty towers did not do well over there because they didnt get the humour!

I never used to watch Futurama but my boyfriend recently got me to watch them with him and I have to admit, I am starting to like it. Although I would choose Simpsons over Futurama anyday!

Both are great but futurama is slightly better in my opinion
