As always with America, the Simpsons is 5 series too long and there are not any new ideas in the pipeline. The kids havent grown up and adolescent story lines have never been exploited. The best American animation remains King of the Hill. It is firmly rooted in reality and could be just as funny with live actors. The Simpsons is decidedly cheesy now and they are straining for effect in every episode. Bye Bye Homer youre not funny any more.

Totally agree, the newer episodes that have been shown recently on C4 haven't been as funny as they used to be. The Simpsons used to have a route of normality, but now it has just become over the top and very silly. I think they should have made more seasons of Futurama and given The Simsons a rest.
