i think that if the movie goes well, they'll stop making episodes and end on a high.
If it's not popular then i think they'll carry on making episodes to get the ratings back up.
What do u think?

I think they'll carry on making episodes, regardless of how well or badly the film does. Not that the film will do badly of course! Wink

i agree...if the movie goes well then they'll probably either stop making episodes or reduce the number they make...

I think the movie will not affect the episodes at all, but i am not sure that the movie will be that good, if you look at all the comedy episode shows that have been made into movies, the movies are never as good as the episodes.

Even if the movie stinks, it will make a HUGE HUGE profit....

Bascially, if the simpsons are still getting good ratings, Fox don't care if the epiosdes are quality or not...

The movie is unlikely to affect the episodes. The simpsons would have been axed if one of the episodes from series 14 upwards had been its pilot, but has carried on regardless. The movie will doubtless make a huge profit, so will be successful in that sense, but there is a very good chance it will be rubbish. They should have made a film at its peak.

I also have to disagree with g-stuff. Although this may generally be the case, south park bigger longer and uncut was the funniest film I have ever seen.
