In the spirit of my other thread who is the one charcter that you feel is afforded too much exposure. For me it has to be Krusty he can get really annoying after a while. Nowadays when I see him in a whole episode I just have to flick over.

hmm... tough quetsion yeh maybe it is Krusty i mean having one whole episode of him is fine when he reunited with his father now that was a classic but when it carried on when Krucsty was marges boyfriend in the new episoed the was a step too far. and he talks about drugs and doing signs like " gulp gulp" and " woowww" with the hand actions

the simpsons. open up the show to other characters like Apu etc. Make other people in the town the center of the show for a while

Krusty And Troy, those two get on my nerves!

Krusty is getting annoying because he uses the same phrases all the time. GET SOME NEW ONES!

I don't think any of them get overused but i'd say Mr. Burns, Krusty and Grandpa

Itchy and Scratchy are the most over-used characters. In that they were a bad idea from day one. They're not funny and it's hard to believe that Lisa would find them funny especially.

I say day one because from the very beginning you could see that the writers portayed Itchy and Scratchy as a 'cult show' that 'brought people in'.

It hasn't worked, yet the writers have repeatedly asked us to digest that the cartoon has the main characters in stitches whilst the viewer wonders why they are laughing.

There doesn't seem to be any point to Sideshow Mel. He just makes up the numbers. What kind of accent is that, anyway? Krusty's a bit dull, as well, although I like his merchandise.

I think the most overused character is Edna Krabapple. She isnt that funny.
