Time Team Special: Britain's Lost Roman Circus Monday 20 June, 9pm
Tony Robinson, Phil Harding and Guy de la Bedoyere tell the story of the discovery of the only Roman circus ever found in Britain, just outside Colchester's Roman walls. They investigate the history of the circus and explore the rough, tough world of chariot racing.

I thought this was an excellent TT special and perhaps the best to date. Please do more and encourage some more participation if you want to avoid the forum becoming a local chat forum for a few who already know each other.
Good programme, yes. Not as much get up and go to it than the previous week's offering. I was suprised at Tony R. having a go at the developer because all they were going to do was show the outline of the circus - what else did he expect? Leave it open to the elements and elements of the local populace?
Agree with Steffan about the lack of get up and go, although the subject was fascinating. I feel sure that a visual reality reconstruction would have been helpful - it was difficult to gage the size and shape from a few lines on the ground, although the archeologists have to do just that! The barrage balloon was a good idea, but input and enthusiasm were low generally, except from the locals. Pepinouska
