I am interested in getting a hold of a very old episode of Time Team and hope one of you will be able to help. I looked on the Time Team website, but their show list does not go back as far as I need. The show about which I'm interested is as follows:
Series 2 Premiering on 15 January 1995 Hylton Castle, Sunderland: Medieval Keep
If someone might have a copy of this tape they would be willing to lend or otherwise know where I might be able to get a hold of a copy, I would be most grateful.
I notice that many people have viewed this post, but since there has been no response, I'm getting worried that my search is a lost cause... Might anyone know if this episode is part of one of the DVD compilations? I looked on Amazon.co.uk, but do not see a list of programs contained within the DVDs.
Any help you might be able to give would be greatly appreciated! Apparently, I am related to the Hyltons and this spring, traveled from my home in New Jersey to Sunderland to see the castle. Ever since, I've been wanting to get more information. The Time Team program came up in a Wikipedia article, but so far, I haven't been able to find out any other information about it...
Sorry you haven't had a reply Erik. So many people who may have been able to help you no longer use the forum, but you could try posting on the other forum, where you will see most people go now. Just type Time Team Forum Friends into goo gle and it's the top link, (our past history).
Lots of people over there will reply, even if they can't help with this particular epsiode. I hope this doesn't get deleted before you see it...
There's an outside possibility I have it but even if I do, the quality will be absolute rubbish after all this time. I remember Hylton Castle. Does it have a special significance for you ? If so, you could try the Time Team office.
There is a chance I may still have this one on video. It was around the time that I started recording the programmes. I remember it because Tony (if I remember correctly) was chatting with some youngsters close to the castle, some of whom were wearing Sunderland football strips.
I'll try and have a look over the weeekend to see if I can locate it.

Did you succeed in obtaining a copy, I have been converting my collection form video to DVD and Sunderland is one of them can supply on DVD, just need you to cover the postage cost.
