Have a felling that the 2nd coin that was found was all set up for the camera, I have found Iron Age coins before & they don't come out that clean, I think a bit of cleaning was done for the camera benfit if this was the case it was a shame, I never clean my coins that I find but looking at that one it was just too clean & dry with no earth on it at all for me.

Quite possibly. It is a TV programme and you need to turn a blind eye to some things and suspend your disbelief. I suspect it may have been uncovered, washed, identified then uncovered once more with the camera present. Otherwise you start thinking about about the number of coincidences that occur. Every trench does not have its own camera crew and yet there always seems to be a camera there to catch any discoveries - or Tony is standing near enough for a quick shout of "Come and have a look at this Tony". Some members of the Team are better actors than others. Some of the TT go a bit OTT, when they are having to do re-takes. However, this is not deception. It is an attempt to show the viewers something that has already happened off camera. To be honest, I didn't even notice this happen. Also, these are silver coins, remember; wouldn't they clean up a bit quicker and better than non-precious coins?
