If posting pictures, it's best to upload them onto a picture hosting website ( such as XS Hosting), then post a link to them.

Ch4 are a bit sensitive about giving links to the other website, a bit silly I know. Perhaps they see it as competition ?

Was it ever discussed how the gold coins came to be there? Was it one of hundreds of coins dropped into the moat over the centuries?

An accidental loss I would guess ?

yeah i spoke to one of the diggers who had the job of holding onto the coin before it went off the 1st was that it was simply dropped by accident maybe by someone on horse back as they crossed the moat ..2nd was that there maybe was a high status person deliberatly tossing it into the moat to tease a less well off person sounds good but it does make you think ???
