A mate of mine had a fire in his thatch roof just after xmas and it messed his roof up badly. But every cloud....
He went to Wessex Arch' and asked them to date the exposed wood beams ...and came up with a date of about 1640.
But While doing some work to the interior walls he came across a 'time capsule' with a bunch of info from the family that built said wall dated Aug 1970.
How cool is that!! No I remember Blue Peter doing something like that......
That is 'cool'! Can you go into more detail about what was in the time capsule? I remember Blue Peter planting various time capsules: have any been opened..?
The capsules buried in the Blue Peter garden were dug up a couple of years ago to celebrate an anniversary (40th?) of the programme. They got the original presenters back for the opening, but unfortunately, water had got into the capsules and most of the contents were ruined
