Many years ago, maybe during the early/mid 90's(?), there was a UKtv drama-documentary about the huge 1070-1 revolt from within the lethal Ely marshlands, led by Hereward the Wake and other prominent 'outlawed' English nobles against the rule of King William I.
It was filmed on location similar to Ely marshes and re-enacted, with part-voiceover (as remember) the brutal ambush guerilla warfare fought by the Anglo-Saxon rebels against the Norman troops.
But I can't remember it's title, or even the production team behind the project(Timewatch? Horizon? etc) The Beeb has replied to my email saying it wasn't their tv show. I await ITV and Channel4's replies.
I've tried googling history sites & keywords, Imdb.com, posting on history sites and emailing the main tv companies that I thought it was on and that could help (BBC and C4).
Thanks if anyone has any good ideas.
