Hello All,

Silures Iron Age society will be at Mam Tor in Derbyshire.
The Vicus will be at the Museum of Welsh Life in St Fagans near Cardiff.

Multi group event includes living history and arena displays.

23/24 Jul
The Vicus will be at a display at Hounslow (Just west of London)

30/31 Jul

These are the events written down in my diary. I will not necessarily be at the events myself

For more info on the various groups, please look at their respective websites.

Kelmarsh Hall is definitely in Northants and the event is part of EH's big Festival of History.

Kelmarsh Hall

It looks more accessible than previous years' events (no windy narrow country lanes to queue down!) but I guess anybody else travelling on the A14 won't be too chuffed!

Don't think I'll bother - Kelmarsh Hall boasts no shop! Eek

It is a couple of years or more since EAFF visited Flag Fen though - that event sounds interesting.

Yes it should be fun.

Admission prices are on the Flag Fen website

There are also events this weekend at Dinefowr Park and Dolaucothi here in Carmarthenshire.

Based on last years show I would suggest that the Sunday is the better day for Chester as there is a race meet on the Saturday.

The annual Roman living history weekend at Dolaucothi Roman Gold mine is happening this weekend

On show will probably be a Roman Army surgeon with the tools of his trade. Roman cookery but probably not any soldiers.

The long haired trader and metalworker from last year will not be there as the management forgot to book him!
