Steve, after last Sunday's programme the release date for the DVD was given as the 10th not 7th. Can you confirm which is correct?

Just had E-mail off Amazon to say that DVD's have been dispatched. I can feel a sudden illness, developing that will force me to stay home and ensure that when they are delivered that they are in full working order. Wink
Funny that. Big Grin Razz

It's definitely on sale today, judging by the fact that I have a copy in my lounge Big Grin

Curiously, the sleeve notes don't actually mention which progs are included, just the periods covered. Guess I'll have to wait until this evening, when I have a bit of time, to find out!

6hrs 40 mins of TT. Better go and buy me a party pack...

I have come home to my copy, normally if I miss the postman I have a 7 mile drive to the post office to collect parcels but bless the postman he managed to get it through the letterbox so i'm making myself a cup of tea, putting my feet up and going to enjoy hours of TT. Big Grin

It's mine, all mine.
Time to lock myself away in a cupboard for a few hours.

A few questions.

Why can't we have a Phil special on the old 'lithic periods????

Why can't we have a 5.1 dolby mix so we can get the 3D sound effects as the shovels of dirt get thrown on the spoil heap?????

Do we get the outtakes where Tony doesn't want to step in Phil's trench??????

Do we get to see the scene with Fracis Pryor where he does not mention ritual???????

I'm off to find the answers to these and other questions.

I can't bear this! FrownI ordered mine through play.com and it hasn't arrived yet. It's torture - I rushed home yesterday and today and it isn't here. Tomorrow I won't be home until about half nine so even if it is here I won't be able to watch it. What's on it, anyone????

For those of you who are waiting for their copies or who are thinking of purchasing a copy. The DVD contains the following:

The Bronze Age
The Iron Age
Roman Britain 1
Roman Britain 2
The Dark Ages
Norman Britain
Medieval Britain
Modern Britain

Opening introductions from Mick Aston. Plus 1997 & 1999 Christmas specials. Also a 30 minute behind the scenes with Time team, and an interview with Tony Robinson.

Lots to watch, shame I did'nt book some time off work Ahhhh.

That's true actually - my mum is a big fan of TT and would love this for her birthday but she is still a VCR person.

Asked in WH Smith today and it doesn't look as they'll be stocking it. More fool them. So I reluctantly had to buy Carmen Elecrta's Aerobic Striptease with my vouchers instead...
