This may sound silly ... does anyone know if the DVD is available in a format that is playable in the states- they are feeding us episodes with an eye dropper . . . and it is driving me mad! Thanks for letting me rant on.

Does anyone know if there is any clarification on when the new DVD... "Time Team In Your Garden" will be released...
HMV / Woolworths and Virgin all told me it was scheduled for the 10th (yesterday), but going to the shops today, not one store has recieved a delivery.

I have a feeling that you may be out of luck. I tried to get a copy for a cousin in the States and was told it was only available for Region 2.

There are plenty of internet sites which will tell you how to "hack" DVD players to turn them into multi-region or to change the region. This is just an example:- http://www.videohelp.com/dvdhacks.phpRun an internet search for DVD hacks to find more.

I went to Bristol yesterday, thought it the ideal place to get the DVD from....However I went to Silverscreen, WHSmiths, HMV and Virgin in the City Centre and then again at Cribbs Causeway I tried WHSmiths, HMV and Virgin with no luck! They could all tell me it had been released on Monday ( yes I said politely I Know this) but no one had seen it! One shop even said it would probably take them two to three weeks to get it as there was a problem with the supplier!! So I came away from Bristol DVDless....so what did I do then.... Checked Amazon...... the first TT DVD is available to order and sent within 24 hours the new one said delivery within 5 to 6 days??? Slightly bizarre I thought?? So i went to the place where you can get just about everything you could possibly want and some you dont................eBay!! Should have done that in the first place saved my poor feet!!!!!!!

HMV have got the first one in their Sale at £15.

They had the 'Garden' one for £15 as well, so I have both now. I see what is meant about the duplication. Never mind. I wish you could skip the music a bit quicker too.

The documentary The Real Da Vinci Code with Tony R is out on DVD from Monday if anybody's interested. No idea on price.

Maybe in a few months time when the film induced frenzy has calmed down a little. Lately the Discovery / History Channels seem to be devoting almost as much time to the Messianic furore as it does to Hitler and the Nazis - and that is saying something!

Actually, I have found something, from the Woolworth's site: quote: Description
Channel 4's TIME TEAM is the most popular and longest-running history programme on television, having completed over 150 digs at different locations both abroad and throughout the British Isles. This exclusive 3-disc box set features the very best of those digs as chosen by the team themselves.
Disc 1: Mick's choice - Llygadwy, Phil's Choice - Ancaster, Tony's choice - Wierre Effroy, John's choice - Turkdean.
Disc 2: Helen's choice - Braemore, Stewart's Choice - High Worsall, Carenza's choice - Circenster, Victor's choice -Nevis (Part 1)
The Very Best Time Team Digs are introduced and reviewed by Tony and the Time Team. There is also a wealth of bonus features, including two more digs: Turkdean 2 - the only site that was so good that Time Team went back to do more excavation, and Nevis Part 2 - the 2nd half of Time Team's dig in the Caribbean. Also squeezed in are two episodes of Time Team Extra - the follow-up history programme broadcast in 1998, and last but not least, a new film Geofizz Explained aimed at guiding viewers through the three very different 'geofixx' techniques regularly used during Time Team digs.
Release Date
21 August 2006

Well, I finally got it thanks to Father Christmas. The Best of DVD is the best so far in my opinion. It features entire programmes for a start and has some good features on the third disc.
Repetition again. One of the programmes is the one on Cirencester, which, if I remember correctly, features on both the previous releases. Turkdean is well covered - disc 3 has Turkdean Two and Robin Bush's Time Team Extra.
