I did seem that whomever wrote the script for this one had a rather wobbly view of how rescue archaeology is done, particularly on road schemes. Still why let the truth get in the way of bad drama? I thought it was quite funny actually.

I watched it too! Thought it was very good. Did wonder if things really get done so quickly. The only had 3 weeks to do the dig before the constuction guys move in, yet they seemed to have a lot of huge trenches dug (of course Time Team would have it done in 3 days!) And the facial reconstruction - are they realy done that quickly?
Did anyone see the Antiques Road Show last night? The first guy bought along 4 flint "daggers" and one made from obsidan. I was quite cross when he said the museum wanted him (or his father?) to donate them but he wouldn't. And where did he get them from? Part of me hopes they were made by Phil or some modern knapper! That would show him! Can you date flint if it is not in context?

Qoute fromn the Archeaology Professor: " I've just contacted English Heritage and their going to do everything they can to preserve the site" Now that really is lurching into the realms of fantasy

Funny thing was, watching TT on Sunday when they discovered that unexpected skeleton, the vague thought went through my mind "what if it were modern...?"
