Where else do people go as contributors or lurkers? I've been trying to get into the BBC Messageboard, but I don't feel at home there. Co's 'Talking History' was good for a while but has gone a bit quiet. There's Britarch of corse, but I regard that as a discussion / newsfeed and rarely contribute (except to accidentally post my CV).
Arthurnet is a mailing list where I post very occassionally and I am also signed up to 'Iron Age Ireland' and 'Irish Settlement Studies'. 'Celtic-L occassionally comes to life and I think I have received about ten posts from Welsh-L in five years.
'The Darkest Ages' is a newish forum where I have yet to post and looks in dire need of a bit of a push (still hasn't got to 20 members).

The BBC forums used to be quite good, with regular contributions from programme presenters. Then they changed the software, which led to most of the regulars leaving. (same old story)

For some years, I have conversed continuously with a New Zealand history group, comprising 50% Maori and 50% past European, mainly British. During this period, I have, whilst working there, met all of them forming a strong and lasting friendship. At present, I have attended three weddings and two chritenings there. I am also a member of other international groups and have met many of these people. Why not join an international mature chat group and discuss any subject that you wish?.
This and Co's place are the only TV-related fora where I post. I've tried some others, like the History Channel (no comment! ) but have ended up sticking with other places I feel comfortable, unrelated to TV, archaeology or even history really (family history research groups, animal-related etc).
