The 2006 series of Time Team is now finished: the next series begins in January 2007. Several Time Team Specials are due to be screened later this year, however, together with a Time Team Live event this summer if all goes well. Full details will be posted on the website and the Time Team Forum as they become available.
There will also be repeats of past programmes screened on Channel 4 and More 4 throughout the year -- check your TV schedules and the 'Interesting TV and radio programmes' thread below for details. A special thanks to Valerie for all her work on this.
Thanks also to everyone who has helped with or contributed to the website and forum over the past series. I'll be checking in here from time to time between now and the next programme, so any messages, questions, ideas or suggestions will reach me, even if you don't get an immediate reply.
Excellent news Steve and thank you for your efforst keeping this Forum together.
I'll let you all into a little secret. I was on a residential training course in Leeds for most of this season and still haven't found time to watch much of the last season. I hope I'll be able to do so before the first of the specials.

Is there any way of finding out where future episodes/digs will be undertaken. I'm sure I'm not the only one that will love to go along and have a gander at how it's all put together!
You are absolutely right. People love to watch TT at work. The idea is very popular - so much so that TT would not be able to cope with the influx if dig locations were widely advertised in advance.
So Time Team only very rarely announces its dig locations - just in those few cases where the site is set up to cope with a mass of visitors.
Local people will often know that something is afoot. Some will be involved. Local children might be invited to wash pot. Or residents might be roped in to fieldwalk. On the programmes you will usually see local people watching with interest. Plus TT has long organised competitions for people to win a place on a dig.
