Hello every one It’s been a long time since I last posted on the forum. That was back when it first started. I thought that this would be a good topic for discussion . Also if any body is involved with a site that is intending to take part in archaeology week, you can let us all know.
I am a member of the management team of the Caer Alyn Archaeological Research Project (CAARP) based at Llay near Wrexham North East Wales. We are having an Open day as part of archaeology week (23rd July 10am till 5pm). Entry is free. The site Director Ken Owen will be giving a guided tour of the site (site covers 60 acres) and we will be explaining archaeological field techniques i.e. Excavation recording, surveying and Archaeo-geophysics. There will be other stuff to see and do, so the day should be interesting and fun
