I have been told I have to use a proxy server to read a favourite web site of mine(as NTHell have adjusted something at their end so I cannot get it).
Will this effect the security of my p.c and any details I pass on through it.
It may sound a bit dull but I do not understand proxy servers.

Neither do I. Just thought I would eliminate myself from your enquiries.

If you use an anonymous proxy server, it will actually enhance your internet security as it prevents anyone from discovering your IP address.

Mis-read the title of this thread as poxy servers! We once went to a restaurant where the service was ....... oops - hope there are no waiters lurking!

Just add url to http://www.webmonkey.ws/geoff.php?url=

ie. http://www.webmonkey.ws/geoff.php?url=http://www.channel4.com goes via proxy to channel 4 website.
